A Lac Seal of British India - The lac sealing illustrated is found in Hyderabad (A.P.) Government in British India used the sealing. This was used for sealing the official and important government documents. for sealing the property also used for the sealing of the strong room of the government treasury. The sealing is evidently of lac. The sealing is inscribed with nine Unes. Five English lines finds place at the top of the sealing and four lines of Urdu (Persian) are inscribed at the bottom. This piece is having marvellous impressions and also is superb in quality. It can be considered as a real piece of an art. Calligraphic delicacy of this sealing lies in its impression of flowers and creepers. Apart from being of AD - 1831 it is in very good condition. Not only all the legends are intact but even Golden Zan tag of the sealing is not worn-out. The details of the sealing are given as follows. Size 11 cm., shape round, weight 103gm. Extremely Fine.
